Overwhelming Force is an in-game Starship Trait.
This trait gives bonuses in Space if slotted into an Active Starship Trait slot.

Basic information

• Game Description: Your Beams: Overload attacks will create a Charged Particle Burst, with a reduced radius and effectiveness at the target's location. Your Torpedo: High Yield attacks will create a Photonic Shockwave, with a reduced radius and effectiveness at the target's location.

• Grants Overwhelming Force (High Yield)
• Grants Overwhelming Force (Overload)
• Only occurs in certain circumstances

Notes

• The effects created by this trait do not trigger radiation damage from secondary deflectors
• Damage amount of the Charged Particle Burst or Photonic Shockwave is completely independent of the damage of the weapon that triggered it (for example, it is quite possible for the damage of the high-yield Torpedo to be significantly higher than the damage of the photonic shockwave).
